EASF DILEMMA CARDS

The dilemma cards are available in hard copy and electronically. They are intended to spark debate and reflection on your role and behaviour in a mission environment. Each card contains one of 55 dilemmas collected from real mission experiences.



INTEGRATED MISSION PLANNING COURSE | ONLINE TEST 

The IMPC online test is meant for repeat practice for students who have completed the course as well as for instructors. The test can be taken as many times as you wish and can help you remember the steps and parts of the EASF integrated mission planning process.


AFRICAN INTEGRATED PEACE OPERATIONS COURSE | ONLINE TEST 

The AIPC online test is meant for repeat practice for students who have completed the course as well as for instructors. The test can be taken as many times as you wish and can help you to recall the integrated approach in peace operations, collaboration and coordination among the different actors, especially in UN missions.

EASF SOP 530 | SIX-STAGE TACTICAL ESTIMATE

The EASF Standard Operatin Procedure 530 details the Six-stage Tactical Estimate, which is the EASF multinational operating standard for tactical level military planning and management of operations.

PEACE OPERATIONS TRAINING INSTITUTE | POTI

POTI provides globally accessible and affordable self-paced, online, on-demand courses on peace support, humanitarian relief, and security operations. Their online course catalogue is very wide and most basic peace operation courses are at no tuition.


If you are an EASF staff member you can apply to IACS for reimbursement of funding for tuition based POTI courses.



EUROPEAN NEW TRAINING INITIATIVE | ENTRi

ENTRi provides a thorough review of online training providers specifically aimed at civilian aspects of crisis management. The ENTRi project has been concluded by 2019, but the course catalogue and online resources remain available.


ENTRi also developed and published the 'In Control' handbook for civilian experts working in crisis management. The handbook is available in English, French, Arabic and Portoguese.



PEACETRAINING.EU

The PeaceTraining project was funded by the European Union and brings together knowledge and training resources from a vast number of international training providers for peace operations. The website covers a lot of knowledge and links to e-learning and tuition free training for civilians, military and police experts.



DCAF-ISSAT | Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance

DCAF/ISSAT has developed a series of online courses that are available to professionals currently working on, or interested in, Security Sector Reform and/or related topics in the areas of security, defence, police, justice, conflict management and peace support operations.

Do you want to play your way to learning about peace operations? Why don't you try your hand at bringing a Rule of Law mission to the country of Zhobia, or bringing peace to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict? 


MISSION ZHOBIA

Play the game as an NGO Programme Manager tasked to implement a Rule of Law support programme in the fictitious country of Zhobia. You will have to tackle local stakeholders, politics, and the progress milestone expectations of the international headquarters.


PEACEMAKER

Originally developed for Israeli high school students, this free game allows you to play as either the Palestinian President or the Israeli Prime minister. You will face realistic political developments and news footage and have to make security decisions while you have to negotiate with the other side.
